Our design team will work closely with you to make sure that we’re on the same page from the very beginning. We may request inspiration images, colors, or competitor websites to help us. We may also go through a more formal mood boarding process, or an even-more-thorough brand exercise, to help us identify your style. Then we’ll present you with multiple design iterations based on this research of your preferences, so we are unlikely to veer too far from something you like by the time it’s time for a final sign-off.

Do I need to have branding before you design my website?

Although it’s helpful, it’s not always necessary. In fact, helping you define and refine your brand is one of our specialties, and we are happy to do that work with you before or alongside web design.

02. Information architecture & strategy

We use the knowledge gained during discovery and stakeholder interviews to build the structure of your website, also known as its information architecture, to best meet your needs. We use a detailed sitemap and series of wireframes to visually represent your website’s information architecture. The sitemap and wireframes allow us to collaborate on page flow, hierarchy, and interactions from a shared understanding of the page template and how each page fits into the body of your website.

03. Style & branding

Your website is more than just an address: it reflects who you are and should showcase your personality. To help us do this, we use branding workshops to guide the creation of two unique mood boards. Each mood board will reflect a different brand aesthetic from which you can choose, providing the overall “look and feel” of your new website.
